Class Rules.
I am here for YOU to succeed, enjoy my class, and learn. I care about you, so I will not allow you to do anything that will interfere with your success in any of my classes.
Because I care about ALL of you, I will not allow any of you to do anything that will interfere with someone else that may be trying to learn.
I love teaching and am excited about having you in my class, so I will not let you do anything that will interfere with my desire to teach or with all of us having an enjoyable year.
Therefore, in order to have an orderly classroom such that it will be possible for me to teach and for you to learn, we will abide by the following rules:
Be in your seat ready to work when the bell rings.
Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
Follow directions the first time they are given.
The class does not end when the bell rings. Remain quiet until dismissed.
Do not get up, gather your books, talk, etc. during the announcements and the prayer at the end of the day. Please remain seated and quiet so that we all can listen. There will be Absolute Silence instantly when the loudspeaker comes on.
If you break the rules you will be subject to detention.
Home Room Rules.
I hate rules as much as you do, but in order to function we must have some rules.
Come in, go straight to your seat, and sit down. If you are standing and moving around it makes it more difficult for me to see who is in the room.
inside the room when the bell starts to ring. If you are coming through the door after the bell starts to ring, you must remain standing up in the vicinity of the door. As I scan the room to see who is present you will not be at your seat, and you will be counted as late.
Wear your school uniform, and ensure that it complies with all the details specified in the school handbook, like having a belt, having your shirt tucked in, etc.
There will be Absolute Silence instantly when the loudspeaker comes on so that the announcements can be heard.
